Sue has been a long standing member of the Hume board since 2014 and as Chair, will be instrumental in helping us achieve our strategic ambitions.

Sue brings an extensive background as a City Planner and Economist. She recently served as a Professor of Planning Practice at UNSW.

She is a passionate advocate of affordable housing and was responsible for introducing affordable housing as a planning objective into the EPA Act 1979. Sue’s previous positions also included the role of Director General of Planning in NSW from 1997 to 2003.

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead Hume community housing as Chair of the Board.  I am indeed passionate about the importance of social and affordable housing and hope that my leadership can be instrumental in helping Hume create more homes at a time when housing affordability is at a crisis point,” said Sue.

We are fortunate to have someone with such excellent credentials as Sue guiding the way. She replaces outgoing Chair, Robert (Bob) Vine who after 23 years has stepped down and will continue on as a Director on the Hume Board. We congratulate Sue and look forward to leveraging her reputation and skills in creating more opportunities for customers to prosper.

We also wish to pay tribute to the extraordinary dedication and leadership of Bob Vine who has been instrumental in Hume’s extraordinary growth and success.
