Hume in Bloom Gardening Competition 2024 Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry. This is a competition of skill, but all levels of gardening skills are encouraged to enter the competition, from first-time gardeners through to expert gardeners.

2. Competition entry is open to any Hume Community Housing customer aged over 18. Parents and carers can enter on behalf of minors.

3. Entries will only be accepted if they are proven Hume Community Housing customers. Non-Hume customer entries will not be accepted.

4. The competition commences at 9am AEST on Monday 19 August 2024 and closes at 5pm AEST Friday 1 November 2024. ("Competition Period").

5. To enter the competition, eligible persons must, within the Competition Period, submit their entry (including their information, one legible photograph with the entrant in foreground and garden in background, and the story behind their garden in 40 words or less) through the form on the Hume Community Housing website. Entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and Data Collection Statement.

6. All eligible entries will be examined by an independent panel. No responsibility will be taken for entries lost, delayed, or not completed properly.

7. One overall winner of the Competition and three winners for each category (Balcony Garden, Edible Garden, Community Garden, and Best Garden) be announced on the Hume Community Housing Facebook page and in Humelife Magazine.

8. The winners will be notified by their provided contact details by Friday 15 November 2024. The prizes will be distributed by mid-December where practically possible.

9. The overall winner of the Competition will receive a prize with a minimum $300.00AUD value. The three winners for each category will receive a $100.00AUD voucher. The exact amounts are subject to sponsorships and donations, which may increase the amounts.

10. The Prize, or any part thereof, must be accepted as awarded and is non-negotiable, non-transferable to another person and non-convertible to cash or credit.

11. It is a condition of entry into the Competition that the Winners consent to the publication of their name in any advertisements or articles relating to the Competition or the Prizes. Entries will be recorded and used in Hume Communication and Marketing materials.
